Common questions
How quickly can you get to me?
The phone is answered straight away, day or night. How long the truck takes depends entirely on where you are and what is already on the road, so we will not quote you a number here that we might not keep. What we will do is give you an honest ETA on that call rather than an optimistic one, and text you when the driver is actually moving.
Are you really open 24 hours?
Yes. A person answers the phone at three in the morning on a bank holiday. Nights, weekends and Christmas are all covered. Out-of-hours work does carry a higher rate, and we tell you what that is before you commit to anything.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the distance, the time of day and how the vehicle has to be moved - so we quote it on the phone rather than guessing here. You get one fixed, all-in figure before we leave, not a callout fee with extras added when we arrive. If an operator will not give you a number on the call, that is the moment to keep ringing around.
What do I need to tell you when I call?
Where you are (a location pin from your phone is perfect), what you drive, and what the car is doing. Whether it rolls and steers, whether it is automatic or all-wheel drive, and whether you are in a car park with a height restriction. Getting those right on the first call means we arrive with the right kit for the job.
Do you take card payments?
Yes - card, cash or bank transfer, paid on completion. Trade customers and garages can run a monthly account. We issue a proper invoice on every job, which matters if you are claiming it back from an insurer or your employer.
Are you insured?
Fully. Public liability and goods-in-transit cover on every vehicle, so your car is insured while it is on our bed. Ask any recovery operator for their cover before they load your car - if they hesitate, do not let them touch it.
